We have six cats and I have gone through so many different cat. Fountains over the years, some so much more expensive than this one. This is by far the best one on the market in my opinion.
We first bought the plastic version on The tick tock shop. It is great and I went on Amazon to find an extra little motor attachment so that I can just alternate because I changed the water in it every single day and the filters every couple of days because we have so many cats and I want the water to be new and fresh and cold everyday.
What's great about this is that you can put it through the dishwasher, but if you don't want to do that, it's so simple to clean because there's just a couple pieces. It's worked like a charm and we've been running this system for at least 6 months. It's literally the best thing since sliced bread. Not only that, but the filters are so inexpensive. I had been using before a very expensive filter that cost a couple hundred dollars and the filters were insanely expensive and it wasn't as good. Is this one.
Seeing people complaining that their One battery unit stopped working is kind of unreal. Why would you expect your one battery power unit to last forever? Think about it. It's going on and off repeatedly all day and all night, getting recharged everyday or two. That little component is going to run its course. It's only $20 to replace the battery. Everyone should have an extra battery on hand for when that inevitably happens. Of course that's not going to last forever..
I just bought a second fountain because of the volume of cats that I have. It just makes sense to have two of them for us. Am their number, one fan and so are my cats.
